R.A.I.N. Tiered Storage

All SGC Virtual Servers are stored using AES 256 bit encryption on a Redundant Array of Independent Nodes for maximum resiliency.
A RAIN is similar to the now common RAID storage, however, instead of simply storing data across multiple disks, a RAIN stores data across multiple redundant storage nodes, each node containing a RAID array of disks.  Each SGC VM Host (Hyper-Visor) contains finely tuned SSD and SAS drives to cache data for the local VM's however, all permanent storage is stored spread across a large array of independent storage nodes.
Each node is fault tolerant to disk failures and the RAIN as a whole is fault tolerant to node failure.
